The Unknown Witness to Crimes of Passion
Acrylic on Birch
12" x 16"
In the collection of Stephen and Julia Rey

This painting was done for local hillbillies The Deere Johns. Consistently good pickin' an grinnin' and always a fine bourbon bubbling time. I also had the pleasure of teaching Mr. Rey the ropes of tending bar. This painting was done in trade for a first edition hardback copy of my favorite book, "The Gospel Singer," by Harry Crews. I'm always up for a good trade, even if it means stealing from the public library or local thrift store to get what you want.
